Charles Robert Kelly, age 67, of New Smyrna Beach, passed away on May 14 ^th , 2023, after a brief battle with cancer. Known as "Chuck" to family and friends, he was born in Missoula, Montana to Janice Kelly and James Robert Kelly.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife Mary Beth Ahern, his son Colton Arthur Kelly, his sister Katherine "Kitty" Forand and her husband Bob, his brother Sean Kelly and his wife Deborah, and his brother Kevin Kelly and his wife Stacy. He was preceded in death by his parents Janice and James Kelly.

A lifelong New Smyrna Beach resident, Chuck worked for over 20 years doing research and development for Boston Whaler boats in Edgewater, Florida. He loved music and was a passionate southern rock and blues singer. He will be remembered for singing with the Payne Brothers Band and other bands, as well as often appearing as a guest on stage to sing his favorite songs. Chuck also enjoyed playing golf, watching NASCAR racing, and was a dedicated Florida Gators fan.

A celebration of life for Chuck will be held on Sunday, May 28 ^th at 1 PM at The Elks Lodge in Edgewater, Florida. In lieu of flowers, to honor Chuck the family requests that you spend an evening enjoying your favorite live music.
