Obituary

Dr. Charles W. Knoll, Fort Myers, FL left this earth to be with his Lord on Monday, May 4, 2020.

Born just weeks before the stock market crash of 1929, Charles (Charlie) spent his early years in the Great Depression and the time leading up to World War II.

He attended Flemington High School, Flemington, NJ from 1943 – 45, then moved to Fishburne Military School in Waynesboro, VA where he graduated in 1947. From 1947 to 1950 he attended the University of Maryland where he studied pre-Dental. In 1950 he entered the University of Pennsylvania Dental School, graduating in 1954. One year before graduation, he married his sweetheart, Priscilla Anne Haynes.

He enlisted in the USAF in 1954 and served two years at Forbes AFB, Topeka, KS. After service he practiced Dentistry in Parsippany, NJ until 1986. He retired to Fort Myers, FL with Priscilla. He was a member of Cypress Lake CC for 10 years, until a freak accident caused him to quit golf. His spiritual home was McGregor Baptist Church, where he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior.

He is survived by two loving daughters, Laura Knoll Lehr (Michael) Santa Rosa Beach, FL and Sally Patricia Knoll of Ft. Myers. He was predeceased by his beautiful wife Priscilla (Pat), his parents Dr. Waldo S. & Florence S. Knoll, and his beloved brother, Edward R. Knoll.
