Charlie Malicoat, 80, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025.  Charlie was a long-time resident of Kokomo, Indiana and spent his remaining years in Port Charlotte, Florida.   Charlie is survived by his girlfriend of seven years, Betty Bullock; his brother, Mike (Pam) Malicoat; two daughters, Malissa (Jim) Green and Melinda (Lance) Overholser, 5 grandchildren; Alicia (Nick) Myers, Derick (Arnita) Cecil, Mercadies (David) Lundy, Shelby (Chris) Zimmerman, Heather (Quintin Jordan) Cecil, and thirteen great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Evelyn Malicoat and his brother Terry Malicoat.

Charlie was an electrician for Delphi/Delco Electronics in Kokomo for over 30 years, retiring to Port Charlotte in 2006.  Charlie also played the saxophone in numerous bands both in Kokomo and Port Charlotte.  His friends remember him fondly as "The Sax-Man" and "Two Beer Charlie".   Charlie's second home and favorite hang-out was Portside Tavern, where he laughed and joked with so many of his friends.

His family is honoring his wishes by not holding a memorial service at this time, but will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
