Charles Rome, 68, a horse trainer who lived in Ocala, FL, passed away at home on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.  Charles was born in Flushing, NY to Vincent and Antoinette Rome. He moved to Ocala in 1996  from Medford, NY.

Charles was a member of NRHA, FRHA, and SFRHA.  He was a member of the United States Equestrian Team and won a 2 ^nd place title in 2004.  He enjoyed golf and watching football.  Charles was best known for his ability to train a horse to spin.  Without a doubt, his favorite time was family time.

Charles is survived by his wife Stephanie Rome of Ocala, and his son Edward Charles Rome also of Ocala.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Sunday, January 23,2022 at the chapel in the World Equestrian Center.
