Charles David Sicowitz, age 67, passed on Sunday November 7th, 2021while surrounded by his family in Port Orange, Florida.
Charley was born on December 19, 1953 in Milwaukee, WI to the parents Stanley and Jean Sicowitz. He graduated from Oconomowoc High School in Oconomowoc, WI and moved to Florida in 1978 and joined the United States Marine Corps. Charley served in the Marine Corps Reserve as well where he serviced helicopters, finally retiring in 2001 from the Marine Corps. As an extremely skilled mechanic, he started Advance Automotive Repair, LLC, where he worked for more than 20 years.
Charley "Gunny", "Sarge" was a great family man and a loving father. He married Karrie Anne Vadala on March 1, 1985, and the couple had one child together, Charles David Jr.
Charley is survived by his wife of 36 years Karrie Anne Sicowitz; his children, Adam Sicowitz, Joseph Scott Snyder, Claire Sicowitz (Joel Howard), Charles Sicowitz Jr; and his grandchildren, Autumn Howard, and Charles Sicowitz III.
He deeply loved his family, being a Marine, and the Hot Rod Industry. His family and friends will always remember him as a soft spoken and deeply loyal person with a contagious laugh and a funny smile. He was loved by everyone who knew him.
A private celebration of life is scheduled Thanksgiving Weekend.
