A Tribute to Charlotte Edna Donovan

Charlotte Edna Donovan, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 94, surrounded by her loving family in Leesburg Florida.

Born in Great Neck, Long Island, Charlotte met her husband William there. They were married for 60 years and together they built a beautiful life. They raised five children in the city of Oswego, New York where Charlotte's warmth and creativity shone brightly. As a dedicated 4-H club leader, she inspired countless young minds, fostering a love for learning in the community. Her Johnson Road home was a haven for children, a place of laughter, games, and sweet treats.

Moving to Florida, Charlotte continued her legacy of service, volunteering at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Winter Haven. She was an avid NASCAR fan and football fan, and multi champion of the family fantasy football league. She was an extremely talented artist on canvas and a wiz on the sewing machine. Charlotte embraced modern technology, staying connected with loved ones through video calls, texting, and sharing her creative projects digitally.

Beyond her many accomplishments, Charlotte was a source of unwavering love and support for her family was the anchor to it all.

She is survived by three sons, Matthew, William, and James; one daughter, Doreen; 9 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband William 2020, and a son, Timothy 2023.

As we mourn her loss, we celebrate her extraordinary life. May her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration.

A celebration of life is planned in Oswego for close family members in the summer of 2025

In lieu of flowers, donations are accepted in her honor at Meals on Wheels and or 4H .
