Obituary

Christina Margaret “Chrissy” Kennedy (née Winterhalter), 42, of Ormond Beach, Florida, entered into eternal rest on February 19, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and the grace of her faith.

Born on December 14, 1983, in Secaucus, New Jersey, Chrissy lived a life defined by love, compassion, and quiet strength. She earned her Associate of Applied Science degree in Communication Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, where her natural creativity and artistic spirit flourished. While talented in many ways, Chrissy’s greatest calling and most treasured role was that of wife and mother. She was the heart of her home, a steady and loving presence who devoted herself completely to her husband and three children.

Chrissy is survived by her beloved husband, Jon Michael Kennedy, and their cherished children, Haylee, Maidson, and Logan, who were the center of her world and the greatest joy of her life. She is also survived by her loving parents, Charles and Loretta Winterhalter; her brother, Charles Winterhalter, Jr.; and her sister, Nicole Winterhalter. She was a devoted daughter, sister, and friend whose love knew no bounds.

A faithful member of Providence Church in Ormond Beach, Chrissy lived her faith through her actions every day. She served as a class mother at her children’s elementary school and was an active and caring presence within her church community. She had a rare gift for seeing the good in others, offering encouragement, understanding, and kindness without judgment. Her gentle spirit, uplifting words, and unwavering optimism brought comfort and light to those around her.

Chrissy found peace and happiness in life’s simple moments—walking and running along the beach, drawing, and creating beautiful crafts from seashells she collected by the shore. These quiet passions reflected her thoughtful nature and appreciation for God’s creation. Above all, her greatest joy was her family. She loved deeply, selflessly, and completely.

Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void, her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at peace in the presence of the Lord. Her love will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, her children, and all who were blessed to know her.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with visitation starting at 9:00 a.m., at Providence Church, 1151 West Granada Boulevard, Ormond Beach, FL 32174. Interment will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Hillside Cemetery, 143 Seton Trail, Ormond Beach, FL 32176.

Chrissy’s life was a testament to faith, love, and devotion. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
