Obituary

Christine Estelle Moraski (née Skarupa), born on October 22, 1943, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026.

Christine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stanley Joseph Moraski Jr., with whom she shared nearly 47 years of marriage, and by her parents, Sophia (Lodanski) Skarupa and Michael Skarupa.

A woman of strong Catholic faith, Christine lived her life with quiet devotion, grace, and compassion.

She began her working life as a hairdresser in her mother’s beauty shop in Baltimore, working alongside her mother on weekends and continuing to do so until her mother retired. Christine built a long and dedicated career as a legal secretary in litigation at Niles, Barton & Wilmer in Baltimore, Maryland, where she was respected for her professionalism, commitment, and meticulous attention to detail.

Christine was a talented artist who loved to paint, finding joy and meaning through her creativity. She cherished time spent out on the water with her husband and their dogs, enjoying fishing and crabbing, which were favorite pastimes and sources of many happy memories.

In 2016, Christine and Stanley moved from their home in Edgemere, Maryland, to The Villages, Florida, where they embraced a new chapter of life together. As avid travelers, together they loved exploring the world, especially cruises, approaching each journey with enthusiasm and wonder.

A Funeral Mass to celebrate Christine’s life will be held On May 5 2026, 10:00 AM, at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 7081 Southeast Highway 42, Summerfield, Florida 34491.

Christine will be remembered for her faith, her creativity, and her deep devotion to family. May she rest in eternal peace and be reunited with those she loved.
