Christine Marie Olney, of Ocala, FL, loving mother and grandmother, passed away at 71 on March 6, 2024.

She was born in Stamford, CT on October 2, 1952 to Dorothy and Lorenzo Tarzia. She graduated from Stamford High School in 1971. She married George Hollinger Olney in 1980.

Christine was a published author, an accomplished artist, painter, illustrator, graphic designer, a singer, an aerobics instructor, interior decorator, an activities director in multiple senior communities, an active member of the Marion Cultural Alliance at Brick City for the Arts, and an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Christine is survived by her husband George, son Kenneth (Meagan Olney) and daughter Stephanie (Nicholas Galvan), grandsons Alex Olney, Henry Olney and Jesse Galvan, sisters Fran Chaffee of Plant City, FL, Gina Lamy (Andre Lamy) of Tampa, FL, and Marge Robbins of New Bern, NC, sister-in-law Linda Bell (Jim Bell) of New Milford, CT, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her Father Lorenzo Tarzia, Mother Dorothy Tarzia, sister Rose Santagata, brother Dominick Tarzia, brother Larry Tarzia and sister Maryann Russo.

Funeral arrangements are scheduled for Friday, March 15 at 11 a.m. at Baldwin Brothers Funeral and Cremation Society, 11250 SW 93rd Ct. Rd. Ste. 300 Ocala, FL 34481.
