Chris Jergens, 57, of Umatilla, FL was found dead on Sunday, January 3rd in his home. He was born on November 21, 1963, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. The son of Jeannette and Dale Jergens. He graduated from Umatilla High School in 1982 and attended Georgia Southern University.

He worked in transportation for 20+ years which afforded him to see much of the United States. He loved to travel and was able to fulfill one of his dreams of spending time in Alaska. He enjoyed nascar, motorcycling, karaoke, cooking and spending time in nature.

He is preceded by his mother Wilma Jeannette Jergens. He is survived by his two children Elizabeth Jergens (Paxton "Blaze" Martinez, grandson) and Matthew Jergens. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Christa Jergens, his father Dale Jergens (Pam), siblings Pat Jergens (Sharon), Alan Jergens, and Karen Stynchcomb (Jodi), Betty Jergens, Jamie Jergens, David Jergens, Mark Jergens. Aunts, Uncles, cousins and many nieces and nephews.
