IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Christopher
Westerman
January 15, 1947 – July 10, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christopher Westerman, a beloved husband, father, and friend, who departed this life on July 10, 2025, at the age of 78. Christopher was born on January 15, 1947, in Goole, England, to Fred and Lucy Westerman. He was raised in a loving family that instilled in him the values of generosity, kindness, and a good sense of humor.
Christopher's journey began in Wakefield, where he developed a passion for sports, particularly rugby. His athletic prowess emerged at an early age as he played for his school team and continued to excel by joining a prestigious local club in London during his late teens. Rugby was more than just a sport for Christopher; it was a way to forge lifelong friendships and create cherished memories. His love for sports was matched only by his affection for music and golfing, hobbies that brought him joy and relaxation throughout his life.
In 1970, Christopher married the love of his life, Frances, in Wakefield, England. Together, they built a beautiful family, welcoming two wonderful children, Paul and Stephanie Westerman. Christopher's role as a father was one of his greatest joys, and he took immense pride in his children's accomplishments and happiness. His warmth and supportive nature created a loving home filled with laughter and unforgettable moments.
Christopher had an impressive career in banking, dedicating many years to serving clients and helping them achieve their financial goals. His intelligence and calm demeanor made him a respected figure in the banking community. He approached each day with patience, a dry British sense of humor, and an unwavering commitment to his profession.
Beyond his professional life, Christopher was deeply committed to his community. He volunteered at the Bird Gardens in Naples, where his love for nature and animals shone through. His generous spirit left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Christopher is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved older brother, Douglas Westerman, as well as his cherished daughter, Samantha. Their memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Frances Westerman, and his two children, Paul and Stephanie Westerman, who will carry forward his legacy of kindness, humor, and love. Christopher's steadfast nature, unflappable demeanor, and generous heart touched the lives of many, and his memory will live on through the stories shared by family and friends.
A private funeral service will be held to honor his life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to a charity of your choice in Christopher's memory, reflecting the generous spirit he embodied.
Christopher Westerman's life was a testament to the profound impact one individual can have on the lives of others. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his laughter, his love, and his unwavering dedication to family and friends. May he rest in peace.
