Christopher Donald White, 65, went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2017.  He was born in Woking, England on April 22, 1951 to Anthony and Diana White. Following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather he went off to boarding school and graduated from Chilton Cantelo as a member of the local Search and Rescue unit.  He became interested in the travel industry in Bristol and saw a lot of Europe and Asia as a travel representative before coming to the States in 1979.  In America he met his first wife and the mother of his two daughters, Stephanie and Samantha.  As part of his efforts in bringing British tourists to America he formed the British American Chamber of Commerce in Orlando.  He was Director of Marketing for the Black Hills Passion Play in Lake Wales, FL for a number of years before forming his own marketing company with his current wife, Linda.  As part of their business he was heavily involved in the marketing efforts of the Fort Myers and Sanibel Visitor's Bureau.  He enjoyed traveling, hiking in the mountains and spending time with family and friends, and sharing stories about his British heritage with everyone.  He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; daughters Stephanie Baker, Samantha White and Kay Vaughn, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Angela and Sara.  Private family services will be held at a later date.  He was loved by many and will be missed by them.  As one of his British friends said "He was kind, funny, and despite all of his years in America, a quintessential Englishman!"
