Obituary

Chuanma Jute O'Neil passed away on January 29, 2016, at Halifax Health Hospice Care Center in Edgewater, Florida. Though her strong will to live and unwavering faith carried her through a year of treatment, she lost her battle with cancer, leaving behind a tremendous legacy of love and laughter. Simply known as "Yhai" to all (or grandmother in Thai) she was cherished and will be missed by so many.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 30 years: Joseph; her children: Tony, Amy, and Ginger; and grandchildren: Gracelyn and Quincy. Born in Northeast Thailand in 1946, she came to the United States in 1973. She met her loving husband in 1984, marrying him on Feb 21, 1986. In 1996, they began investing in real estate which led to their move to Florida in 2004.

Tougher than nails, she had a lamentable love of floral prints and a wicked sense of humor. She taught her children to embrace hard work, that everything happens for a reason, and to never feel sorry for themselves. She urged everyone she knew to love one another and always be kind and especially to have a good heart. She had a lifelong love of gardening and often had to be dragged away from her flowers long after the sun had set. She always said, "When it's your time, it's your time" and her family is relieved that her suffering has ended and she is at peace. Her sweet spirit and kind heart will never be forgotten.

In accordance with her wishes, the family held a private service and viewing. They are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support from so many people.
