Cipriano Sumaoang Mejia of New Smyrna Beach passed away Monday, October 17, 2011.  He was born in Gerona Tarlac, Philippines on October 4, 1927 to Segundo and Marcela Mejia.  Cipriano loved spending his time singing and dancing.  He was the Chief of Security for the Armed Forces in the Philippines.  In 2004 he moved from the Philippines to New Smyrna Beach.  He was a kind man who will be trully missed by his family.  A Life Celebration will be held by the family at a later date.  He is survived by one son, Danny Mejia; his three daughters, Evelyn (James S) Phinney, Lilibeth (Nilo) Ilagan, Lelanie Mejia; 17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Beatriz Mejia and his son Leonardo Mejia.
