Clarence (Clancy) Urban Shannon, 76, of Port Charlotte, Fl, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2026, at HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital. He was born on December 17, 1949, at Memorial Hospital in Piqua, Ohio. He was the youngest son of the late Robert and Lucille (Queen) Shannon.
In addition to his parents, Clancy is preceded in death by his siblings; Paul Shannon, Albert Shannon, Catherine Baker, James Shannon and David Shannon.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Ann Shannon of 48 years; 3 daughters, Connie Hooper of Kansas, Deanna Vanover of VA, and Wendy Frame of Florida; 9 grandchildren, Carrissa Rakes, Michael Ziadeh, Nicole Ziadeh , Ryan Vanover, Dallas Vanover, Kirstien Anglero, Hunter Frame, Sebastian Frame, and Caelan Frame; 4 great grandchildren, Benjamin Rakes, Natalie Rakes, Asher Anglero, and Lucas Frame; siblings, Charlene Balsnger of Ohio, Marilin Skinner of Florida, Ronald Shannon of Texas, Sharon Montgomery of Ohio and Linda Reed of Indiana.
Clancy is the youngest of 11 children. He got married on December 16, 1978, in Dodge City, Kansas to Judy Ann Shannon. Clancy retired from Bed Bath and Beyond and started out at JC Penny as a young man where he worked for over 20 years. He loved spending time at the Beach until his illness got so bad. He loved watching the Buckeye Ohio State Games and also enjoyed playing on his phone.
Clancy wished to be cremated. There will be no services held at this time.
