Clarence “Robert” White Jr., lovingly known as Robert to most who knew him, passed away on October 26, 2026, in Eustis, Florida, at the age of 81. He was born on January 18, 1945, in LaFollette, Tennessee.
Robert was a hardworking man who dedicated nearly 50 years of his life to Golden Gem Growers, now known as Florida Maid. He took great pride in his work and looked forward to retirement, when he could focus on what mattered most: spending quality time with his family and cherishing moments at family gatherings.
In his free time, Robert enjoyed collecting coins and working in his yard. He found enjoyment in the simple things in life and took pride in the things he cared about.
Those who knew Robert will remember him as an honest and caring person who always spoke his mind. He believed in telling the truth, whether people liked hearing it or not. He had a way of saying exactly what he thought, and he also had a sharp sense of humor that lightened many moments. His straightforward personality, sense of humor, and love for his family made him someone people will not soon forget.
Above all, Robert cherished his family. He loved family gatherings and the opportunity to spend time surrounded by the people he loved. Those moments and memories will continue to live on in the hearts of his family for generations to come.
Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby White Holland; his brother, Paul White; his sisters, June Koss and Liz Baumgardener.
He leaves behind his loved ones, including his Children, Ruby (Randy) Leona Patterson; Clarence (Sandy) R. White III; Tammy L. Rhoades; and Michael White. He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will carry his memory and legacy forward.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home in Tavares, Florida. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Eustis, Florida.
Robert's life was one of hard work, honesty, family, and unforgettable moments. Though he will be deeply missed, the stories, laughter, and memories he leaves behind will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
