Claudette London-Brown, age 78, died unexpectedly on July 7, 2020.

She was born on March 31, 1942 in Orange, NJ to parents; Frank Grom III and Irene Martel Grom. She graduated from FIU in N. Miami with a degree in Archaeology & Sociology in May 2001.

She married Joseph Brown in 1992. Claudette was a social, active woman who was deeply in involved in fundraising for the Miami Ballet and other charities for the majority of her life. She enjoyed reading, knitting and traveling. Her friends will always remember her as a lifelong student, a loving and generous person.

She is survived by her mother; Irene M. Grom of Sunrise, FL, her sister; Jackie Gromadski of Supply, NC, her nephew; USMC Major Christopher Gromadski, his wife; Samantha, great nieces; Shannon, Abigale, and Caitlin, great nephew; Ryan of Okinawa, Japan, sisters of choice; Carol Mink, Caryl Mann and Wendy Tayloe and beloved dog "Star".

A funeral is scheduled for July 21 at 10:30 AM at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home in Ocala. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Claudette's life. The family would like to thank all her neighbors and friends for their support and friendship.
