Claudia (Puya) Burgkart, 101, of The Villages, FL, formerly of Birmingham, AL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 22nd, 2026. She was born January 13th, 1925 in Bristol, RI. She graduated Bristol High School - Colt Memorial Class of 1942. Claudia played saxophone and was a member of the marching band and orchestra.

She retired from The Cahaba Girl Scout Council in Birmingham, AL.

All her adult life Claudia was an avid reader, gardener and bridge player. For the past three years she was a member of the Buffalo Crossings Healthcare family where she participated in all activities never missing Live Oaks Community Church services held on site.

Claudia is survived by two daughters affectionately know as "the girls": Karen Whigham, Dallas, TX and Barbara Parker, son-in-law Michael Parker, The Villages, FL, Granddaughter Allison Parker Hall, OK and Grandson Justin Parker, AZ.
