Claudia Joan Burgy, 67, of Edgewater, FL, passed away suddenly on September 23rd. She leaves behind loving husband Jeff Burgy, loving daughter Jill (Michael) Silberman, beloved granddaughter Stella Pearl Silberman, beloved step-daughter Heather Renee (Ian) Lilly, beloved granddaughter Shelby Kathleen Lilly, step-son Jeffrey Dale Burgy, mother Joanne Hicks, sisters Camille (Rod) Pemberton, Holly (John) Abess, brothers Bobby (Angie) and Zack (Dennis) Hicks. She was preceded in death by her father, James Hicks, and sister Chelley (Rob) Jablonski. Claudia was a Vice-President and Branch Manager at Standard Federal Bank in West Bloomfield MI, and retired from the bank with 23 years of service. She was active as Treasurer of the Round Lake Homeowner's Association in White Lake, MI, and after moving to Florida, she became Treasurer for the Windview Townhomes Homeowner's Association in Edgewater, FL. Claudia had a quick wit, an infectious smile, and was most happy at home working in her kitchen preparing her next gourmet meal. She will be dearly missed by her many friends and family. Visiting hours will be at Schrader-Howell Funeral Home in Plymouth, MI, from 2:00-4:00 on Saturday, October 29th.
