Colin
Cornhill
June 15, 2022
Colin Victor Cornhill took his last breath on earth and first in heaven on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. Colin was a strong, honest, smart man of integrity, who lived his life for the betterment of mankind. Through his work, most recently at Johnson and Johnson, Colin dedicated his efforts to drug safety, team building and mentoring others. He worked hard to be the best he could be. Born in England, Colin developed a passion for rowing during his college years, and continued that pursuit till he could no longer. He enjoyed every minute on the water and loved coaching newer rowers. He was a talented photographer and the best handyman ever. He loved his family more than anything. Colin leaves behind his dearly loved wife, Kathy; daughters Claire and Emma (Andrew); beloved granddaughter, Layla; mother Dorothy; sister-in-law Carol (Larry); brother-in-law Mike (Kari); brother-in-law Ken (Tracy); nieces Hannah and Chiara; nephews Will, Mike, Matthew, Trey and Matt; special friends, the McKeowns, the Fredericks, the Stealeys and the Odoms. Per Colin's wishes, there will be no formal services. The family will celebrate Colin's life privately. If you wish, memorials can be directed to: Nathan Benderson Park Conservancy, Attn: Miriam Ward, 5851 Nathan Benderson Circle, Sarasota, FL 34235, where Colin met many wonderful people who shared his love of rowing. For those who knew Colin, thank you for being part of his life. He was fond of all of you. 'I have fought a good fight. I have finished my course. I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall award to me at that day, and not only to me but unto all them also that love His appearing.' 2 Tim 4:7-8
