Colin Schofield

August 17, 1939 – November 25, 2024

The family of Colin Schofield of Mount Dora, Florida are deeply saddened to announce his passing on November 25th at the age of 85. Colin spent the last few months of his long life supported by hospice in his home of 17 years surrounded by his loving family. He peacefully passed away in his sleep on the morning of November 25th.

Colin was born in 1939 to loving parents Harold and Matilda Schofield in Hunslet, Leeds, England. He immigrated to Florida, US along with his wife Lily and her children Frances, Paul, Timothy, and Rebecca and beloved grandson Chris. He was a hard working, self made business owner who in later life enjoyed boating, classic cars, afternoons at the dog park, and sharing meals with his large family.

Colin is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Lily, and her children Frances, Paul, Timothy, and Rebecca along with their spouses John, Eva, Janet, and Timothy, Grandchildren Nicholas, Heather, Mathew, Holly, Simon, Joseph, Bregan, George, Evan and Gavin, great grandchildren Kailey, Carlye, Christopher Robin, Liam and many dear family members in both Florida, US and Leeds, England, a place that was never far from his heart.

Colin is preceded in death by his loving parents Harold and Matilda, his brother Brian, his beloved grandson Chris and many loving relatives in England.

A Memorial mass will be held Monday, December 23rd at 10 am at the Sacred Heart Traditional Catholic Church 1018 36th St, Orlando, FL 32805.
