Colleen McMurrin Davis, aged 66, of New Port Richey, Florida, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026. She was born July 27, 1959 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Walter M. and Rhoda J. Davis. Colleen graduated from Shaler High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and received a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Ohio University. Colleen dedicated her life to helping others. Through her early career as an interior designer, a twenty-year career at the East Lake Community Library, and a devoted pet sitter, Colleen weaved her life with important threads of others’ stories. Her loves included crafting, canoeing, culture, animals, unique art, history, friends, and most of all, her children. Colleen is survived by her children, Alexandra Prueitt (Daniel Levy) and Benjamin Prueitt (Sarah Grasty-Prueitt), and her siblings, Trudy Ripka and Scott Davis. A memorial service will be held at the East Lake Community Library on April 3, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the East Lake Community Library.
