Obituary

Concepcion Vazquez Gomez, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and creative spirit, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2024. She was 69 years old.

Concepcion embraced a life filled with love, adventure, faith, and dedication to her family. As the wife of a military serviceman, she traveled the world, raising her two sons, Gustavo and Juan, with unwavering strength and care. In the later years of her life, she remained the rock of her family, supporting her husband, Ramon, as he transitioned from military service to business ownership.

Concepcion's deep faith in God was the cornerstone of her life and the source of her incredible positivity. She firmly believed that with God's guidance and a positive mindset, even life's greatest challenges could be met with grace and hope. Her faith inspired everyone around her and gave her the strength to create a life of joy and resilience.

Her heart was always with her family, and she delighted in her role as "Abuela" to her granddaughters, whom she lovingly called "mis niñas." They were the light of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

Concepcion loved to paint and draw, expressing herself and creating beauty in simple yet meaningful ways. She also found joy in cooking, using food to bring her family together and create cherished memories around the table. Her recipes and the laughter shared in the kitchen will be remembered as some of the most precious gifts she gave to her loved ones.

After spending time in Puerto Rico, Concepcion and Ramon settled in Florida, where she spent her final years. Known for her incredible sense of humor and her ability to bring people together, Concepcion had a unique gift for making every moment brighter. Her unwavering love, faith, and laughter were a blessing to everyone who knew her, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ramon Albino Irizarry; her sons, Gustavo (Andrea) Albino of Texas and Juan Albino of Florida; her two granddaughters ("mis niñas"); and her siblings in Spain.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to all who have offered support during this difficult time. Concepcion's legacy of love, laughter, and faith will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, we invite you to honor Concepcion's memory in a way that feels meaningful to you—whether by sharing a special memory, spending time with loved ones, contributing to a cause close to your heart, or simply doing something kind for someone else.

Thank you for keeping Concepcion in your thoughts and for the many ways you've shown your care and support.
