Craig Lee Ryan, 79, passed away peacefully at his home in The Villages, Florida, on January 8, 2026.

Craig spent most of his life living and working in Iowa before eventually relocating to Lake of the Ozarks with his wife, Laurie. There, he embraced lake life and met many new friends with whom he shared countless adventures. In 2018, he and Laurie moved to The Villages to escape the cold winters and enjoy year-round sunshine. He remained active in the community through the Mustang Club and the Iowa Club.

Craig is loved and deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his children: Cherie Marcum of Dallas, Texas; Leisha (Marty) Wadle of Indianola, Iowa; and Blake (Alex) Sutherland of Portland, Oregon. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Ryan and Dane Marcum; Darien, Mike, Emma, Curran, and Matt Wadle; and Conrad, August, Emmett, Bry, Hazel, and Oscar Sutherland. He is also survived by his loyal dog, Marley.

Craig was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Laurie, and his parents, Chuck and Doris Ryan.
