Obituary

Curtis Vernon, born April 11, 1946, in Ocala, Florida, to Charles Vernon and Ella Clarke, passed away on January 25, 2025, at the age of 78. Curtis was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who spent 38 years as an Engineering Technician at Kodak. His unparalleled dedication to his work was evident—he never missed a single day of work throughout his entire career.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Jessie; his two sons, Marcel and Loren; his daughter-in-law Amanda, whose unwavering support meant so much to him; and six grandchildren: Amel, Imanni, Julyzza, Marcel Jr., Loren Jr., and Brielle.

Curtis is preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Sabrina, whose memory he cherished deeply.

A lifelong Buffalo Bills fan, Curtis proudly held season tickets for 40 years, cheering on his team with passion and loyalty. His enthusiasm, work ethic, and deep love for his family will remain his enduring legacy.

Per Curtis's wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the American Kidney Foundation or the Orlando Health Cancer Institute. Curtis will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
