Today we celebrate the life of Cynthia Tinsley Sanchez, a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Cindy was born on August 5,1953 to Alfred and Ramona Tinsley in Oklahoma City and passed away in Florida on June 18, 2022. Cindy grew up and spent most of her adult life in Oklahoma. She joined the army after high school and following her service received a bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. Cindy spoke four languages, English, Spanish, French, and German and worked for over thirty years as a legal secretary for multiple Oklahoma City law firms before retiring and moving to Florida in 2018 to be with her daughters and grandchildren.

Cindy was a caring, loving, and devoted mother and grandmother. She loved living in Florida with her daughters Amber and Wendy and granddaughter, Jayda. Cindy adored with all her heart & soul her grandchildren, Jayda Rae and Jackson, and she was overjoyed and excited to meet her future great-grandson Elijah who will be born in November.

She lived in the moment nurturing her plants, listening to classic rock music and reggae, and doing crosswords and wordle. She loved reading books about American history, talking baby talk to her grand puppies, and taking road trips with her family. She made many memories with her daughter Amber going to concerts and the horse track. She was fundamental in helping her daughter Wendy create a loving home to raise her granddaughter Jayda. Cindy enjoyed learning about the family history and working on her genealogy research as well as talking with people and checking in on her friends. Always encouraging those she loved to be in the moment and breathe, Cindy made a huge, positive impact on the lives of her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Cindy was preceded by her father, Alfred Tinsley; her mother, Ramona Wehling; her grandmother, Cleta Tinsley; her brother, Randy Tinsley; her brother, Tom Tinsley; and her niece. Laura Tinsley.

She is survived by her daughters, Amber Thomas, and Wendy Holman; her grandson, Jackson Gordon; her granddaughter, Jayda Holman; her great-grandson Elijah Creek Gordon, her younger sister Gina Zhidov; her brother-in-law, Ivan Zhidov; her nephew, Zane Zhidov; her older sister Sheryl Tinsley and her two brothers Stevie Tinsley and Ingo Karras.
