Dale Douglas "Doug" Walker II

Dale Douglas "Doug" Walker II, North Port, Fl.  Age 57.

Doug was born in Lakeland, Fl. on June 22, 1965, to Dale D. Walker and the late Nancy (Hiers) Walker.

Doug spent his childhood in Madison and Tallahassee, Florida and moved to various states before returning to his home state.  He passed away peacefully on March 11, 2023, surrounded by loved ones.

Doug is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Jean Hoffman Walker; father, Dale Walker; sister Michelle (John) Forehand; and an abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Walker.

Doug was an animal transport rescue volunteer for many years. This led him to his most gratifying position as Operation's Director with Satchels Last Resort, a no-kill animal shelter/sanctuary for dogs and cats regardless of medical/behavioral issues.

His passions included gardening, fishing, and driving dogs around in his Jeep.

A celebration of his life will be held in Madison, Fl. on March 25, 2023.
