Dale Eugene Overmyer, 99, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026. He was born on May 23, 1927.

On September 17, 1950, Dale married the love of his life, Barbara Ellen Winter, in Donaldson. Together they shared many years of marriage and built a loving family.

Dale spent many years farming before beginning his career at Bethlehem Steel, where he worked until his retirement in 1989. Dale enjoyed an active life and had a lifelong love of sports. As a young man, he played baseball, and later in life he spent many enjoyable years golfing with his friends. He was a proud member of the Polish Falcons and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).

Dale is survived by his daughter, Pamela Overmyer Dennis (Rick Barney) of Apopka, Florida; grandsons, Christopher Overmyer (Mari) of Winter Garden, Florida, and Brandon Overmyer (Kimia) of Santa Monica, California; granddaughter, Karly Furtado (Tim) of Apopka, Florida; four great-grandchildren; his sisters, Marilyn Kuskye of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Catherine Bennett (Mike) of Plymouth, Indiana; along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara Ellen Overmyer; his son, Mark Overmyer; his grandson, Jeffrey Mrozinski; his parents; his brothers, Irvin and Richard Overmyer; and his sisters, Betty Schrimsher and Joyce Sarber.

Dale will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his love of sports, and the many friendships he built throughout his life. His quiet strength, kind heart, and enduring spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
