Dale Lee
Stanton
October 23, 1936 – April 5, 2026
It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of a beloved husband and father on Easter Sunday at Orlando Regional Medical Center. Born on October 23, 1936, in Frankfort, Kansas, to Bert and Hazel Stanton, he led a life marked by dedication and accomplishment.
He completed his education at Vermillion High School in 1954, excelling both academically and athletically. Pursuing higher education, he attended Baker University, where he was a proud member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, and later studied electrical engineering at Kansas State University. His commitment to service was exemplified by his time in the U.S. Army, during which he was stationed in Germany.
His professional career included a period at Sprague Electric in North Adams, Massachusetts, before relocating to Florida, where he joined IBM as a customer engineer in September 1962. Over the course of 37 years, he advanced steadily, ultimately retiring as Support Services Manager for IBM Global Services at the close of 1999.
In retirement, he enjoyed traveling, trout fishing with friends in scenic locations such as New Hampshire, Colorado, and Montana, immersing himself in espionage and mystery novels, and engaging passionately in duplicate bridge. Another pastime of his, was tracking down his elusive Stanton ancestors.
He leaves behind his wife, Jane, the love of his life; his daughter, Kristin, along with her husband, Kyle; and cherished cousins residing in Kansas, Texas, and Nebraska.
Honoring his wishes, no funeral or services will be held. Baldwin Brothers Cremation is entrusted with the arrangements.
His life will be fondly remembered by all who knew him, as a testament to dedication, friendship, and quiet strength.
