Dale Arnold Stayberg, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on September 6, 2026, at the age of 87.

Dale was born on November 11, 1938, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Herbert and Helen Stayberg. He was raised in Hudson, Wisconsin, where he graduated from Hudson High School. He later attended the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse.

Dale proudly served for six years in the Wisconsin Army National Guard. During his military service, he was stationed for one year at Fort Lewis, Washington, where he taught troops survival skills and how to live off the land in the Olympic Mountains and the Yakima Desert. While serving, Dale also earned a degree in Electronics Engineering.

Following his military service, Dale began a long and dedicated career with the Great Northern Railway, which later became Burlington Northern and eventually BNSF Railway. Working out of St. Paul, Minnesota, and Fort Worth, Texas, Dale served as a Rate Analyst for an impressive 44 years. His commitment to his career and work ethic were an important part of his life.

Outside of work, Dale had a great love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing. He cherished the simple pleasures of life and the time spent with those he loved.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Helen Stayberg; three brothers; and one sister.

He leaves behind the love of his life and beloved wife of 36 years, Linda. He is also survived by Linda’s three daughters, Robynn Wayne (Ivan), Randee Ward, and Risa Record (Matt); eight grandchildren, Dresden, Kati, Rien, Ella, Roman, Alex, Josiah, and Jonah; and his brother, Bill.

Dale will be remembered for his dedication, adventurous spirit, love of the outdoors, and, most importantly, the love he shared with his family.

A private family service will be held.
