Dallas Leonard Lippincott of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, passed away April 11, 2025; age 85.  Dallas was born in Holly, Michigan.  He was the son of the late Charles Henry and Ada E. (nee: Winslow) Lippincott.  Dallas resided in Michigan until 1986 when he moved to Bloomington, Illinois.  He met and married Melody Ferguson, in 1987.

He is survived by his son, David (Tracy) Lippincott of Waterford, Michigan; daughter, Carole Ann Strachan of Imlay City, Michigan; step-son, Russell (Lauren) Ferguson of Evansville, Indiana; grandson, Travis Lippincott of Waterford, Michigan; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Lippincott of Goodrich, Michigan.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Melody; brother, Charles W. Lippincott; sister, Barbara Lippincott; and son-in-law, Michael Strachan.

Dallas attended Culver Military Academy in Culver, Indiana and also The Leelanau Boarding School in Glen Arbor, Michigan.  He was proud to serve in the U.S. Army and was a life member of the First Armored Division. After leaving the military, he became a Registered Land Surveyor in the State of Michigan. Dallas was also a lifetime member of the Handyman Club of America. He was an avid NASCAR fan, loved to work in his yard and flower garden, and had a very strong faith in God.  He was a member of the Coronado Community United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Coronado Community United Methodist Church at 201 S. Peninsula Ave., New Smyrna Beach FL 32169, or to Halifax Health Hospice Southeast Volusia Care Center at 4140 South Ridgewood Avenue, Edgewater FL 32141.

A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the Coronado Community United Methodist Church 201 S. Peninsula Ave., New Smyrna Beach FL 32169.  Family will receive friends before the service on Tuesday from 1:00 – 2:00 pm.  A reception will be held in the Fellowship Hall immediately afterward.
