It is with great sadness that we report the death of Dallas Dean Musgrave on January 16, 2026 surrounded by his loving family at Cornerstone Hospice. Dallas was born in Oberlin, Kansas July 3,1939 to parents Clarence Musgrave and Mary Thummel Musgrave. Dallas is survived by wife Rosalee Ohm Musgrave of 60 years, son Mark Musgrave, wife Doried, granddaughter Julieta, son David Musgrave, brothers Don Musgrave, wife Jean, David Musgrave, wife Carole, brother-in-law Steve Berland, many cousins and nieces and nephews. In 1954 his parents were killed and Ira and Minnie Laidig took the Musgrave children as foster children to raise as well as their own children. Dallas was a good athlete in high school playing basketball and winning medals for track. Proceeding Dallas in death are brothers Delbert Musgrave, Danny Musgrave, and sister Deloris Musgrave Berland. Dallas graduated from the University of Denver and entered the Truck Stop Travel industry. Dallas was Vice President of Operations for the Interpoint Corporation, Chicago, IL and Rip Griffin Travel Centers Lubbock, TX. Dallas was one of the founders of AMBEST (Americas Best Truck Stops) serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors, and several terms as a member of the board. Dallas was loved and admired by all who knew him personally and professionally. Upon retiring Dallas and Rosalee moved to The Villages, FL. Dallas had a wonderful dry sense of humor which won him the admiration of his doctors as he fought his battle with cancer. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 601 Mariposa Way, The Villages, FL 32162.
