Damon Isaiah
Smith
Apr 29, 1999 — Oct 3, 2026
Damon Isaiah Smith, 27, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away on October 3, 2026.
Damon was a beloved son, brother, grandson, great grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He was incredibly intelligent and curious, with a mind that was always learning. He loved reading, video games, anime, spending time with his friends, and above all, his family.
He especially loved being an uncle to his nephews, Jacoby, Isaiah, and Bryson. Damon also took great pride in the career he built as a foreman and heavy equipment operator. He worked hard for everything he accomplished and was always striving to learn, grow, and succeed.
Damon was high functioning autistic, he shared that with his friends, but autism never defined him. Throughout his life, he continually pushed beyond expectations and built a life and career he was proud of. He will be remembered as smart, determined, curious, funny, deeply loved, and completely unforgettable.
Damon is survived by his father, Jeremy Smith; his mother, Jennifer Reed, and stepfather, Paul Reed; his great grandmother, Dolores Shober; his brothers, Micah Smith and his wife, Ashley, and Caleb Smith; his nephews, Jacoby, Isaiah, and Bryson; his uncle, Armando Hernandez, and his wife, Jina; his aunts, Chrissy White and Kym James; his cousins, Alicia, Lilly Jo and Xavi and many extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Kathy Hernandez, and his cousin, Keyleigh James.
A celebration of Damon’s life will be announced at a later date. Family and friends may follow his mother, Jennifer Kay (@SWFLJen), on Facebook for updates.
