Daniel Lee
Larson
Aug 26, 1945 — Oct 9, 2026
Daniel Lee Larson, age 81, passed away at his home in The Villages, Florida, October 9, 2026. Dan was born August 26, 1945 in Virginia, Minnesota, to Clifford and Marian Larson and was raised in Richfield, Minnesota. He is survived by Toni, his loving wife of 21 years and best friend of 36 years. He is also survived by brothers Steven and William; his children Tracy (Chuck) Keith, Angela (Jeff) Raddatz, Vanessa (Chad) Floyd, Greg (Jennifer) Larson, and stepdaughter Melissa Chapman; his grandchildren Allison (Jace) Macaulay, Charles (Reina) Keith, Noah (Emily) Keith, Nathan (Kelly) Keith, Talia (Sam) Lewey, Lauren (Sam) Dunklau, Jenna Raddatz, Carter and Quinn Floyd, and Kai and Malia Larson; his great grandchildren Charles, Lavender, Marigold, Kathryn, Christopher, Lydia, and two yet to be born whom he was very eager to meet.
Dan attended college at the University of Washington where he earned Bachelor and Master of Science Degrees in Aeronautical and Astronautical engineering. He also attended Stanford University where he received his Master of Business Administration degree specializing in corporate finance. Dan spent his career working for several firms in the San Francisco Bay Area and in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and his job focus was in the areas of mergers, acquisitions, venture capital and business valuation. In 1998, he formed his own firm focused on helping business owners determine the value of their companies. He retired in 2006 and then he and his wife Toni moved to Florida to escape the cold northern winters.
Dan was active in church for many years and served voluntarily as a small group leader, communion server, and in several other church ministries. Additionally, he and Toni supervised the construction of a Christian-based primary school in a remote village in Rwanda, Africa. In recent years, he ran a ministry called Spread the Word whose purpose was to provide Bibles to those in need. This ministry provided more than 6,500 Bibles to food banks and homeless shelters.
Dan could be described as intellectually curious, adventurous, devoted, and extremely generous with his time and talents. He had a great sense of humor; he laughed easily and his laugh was infectious. Dan was grateful; he loved God and tirelessly thanked Him for the life he was given. Of all his blessings, he was most thankful for his loving family, his upbringing, the opportunity for good education, good jobs, opportunities to travel globally, good health, and being able to live in the United States of America.
Celebrations of life will be held at Dan and Toni’s church on December 9, 2026, and in Minnesota on a date yet to be chosen. Arrangements entrusted with BALDWIN BROTHERS Funeral & Cremation Society-Spanish Springs, 352-430-1449. Sentiments are encouraged at www.baldwincremation.com.
