Obituary

Daniel Glen VanAusdale, 73, affectionately known as "Wings", passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, October 17, 2021.

Dan was born December 12, 1947, in Oberlin, Ohio to Daniel and Mary VanAusdale. Dan was a Vietnam veteran. When he came home, he worked for U.S. Steel in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania for a few years before moving to Florida, where he worked for Tri-Tec Welding Supplies for over 20 years.

Dan loved motorcycles and his lawn mower, and he loved his family above all else. Dan was the proud father to Robert VanAusdale and the loving and big-hearted husband of Linda VanAusdale. He loved helping his neighbors and they loved and appreciated him for it. He was a proud and hard-working man, a man with a heart too big. Dan and Linda were married for 27 years, and he spent those years giving his wife and son the best life they could ever have.

Dan was predeceased by his parents, Daniel and Mary VanAusdale, and his sister, Ann VanAusdale Mirda.

Dan is survived by his wife, Linda VanAusdale, his son, Robert VanAusdale, his brothers, John Poynor and his wife Iris, and Raymond Poynor and his wife, Rose, his sisters, Nancy O'Hara and her husband, Peter, and Judy Gaynor. He is also survived by his cousin, Danny Hoeh, and his handsome nephews, David Dubord, John Poynor, Andrew Poynor, Brandon Poynor, Peter Reilly, Mike Gaynor, and J.T. Leal, his beautiful nieces, Christina Reilly and Brook Leal, and his loyal and loving dog, Blueberry.

Dan is dearly loved by his family and friends, and his love and memory will always be in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Dan's memory to his family, Linda and Robert.
