Darwin was born in Rockford, IL. He served our nation in the US Army in Korea. Darwin was a retired owner operator of Power Ford, Chicago and general sales manager in the automotive industry all his working life.He enjoyed golf. He is survived by his wife Nancy (nee Gill), children Greg Shipman, Gary Shipman, Debra Shipman, Dina Schiavone, Michael Wulfers, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Randall Shipman. Private services will be in Florida. Living memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
