David Andrew Billups passed away on June 10 ^th at 11pm. He died peacefully  at home in Ocklawaha, FL. Surrounded by his loved ones. David was 75 years old.  David was born on 11/23/1949 in Florence, South Carolina. And was a US Army veteran.  He attended CFCC where he received his AA degree and retired out of the Telecom industry in 1999. He also worked and retired from Ft McCoy Elementary School and worked as an appraiser for over 10 years.

David is survived by significant other Deborah Duval, Ocklawaha, FL; sons Timothy Billups, and Jeffrey Billups, both of Lake Mary, FL; daughter Danielle Deel of Lake Mary, FL; grandsons Alexander Billups, Bradley Billups, and Jay Deel all of Lake Mary, FL, Bennett Billups of Longwood, FL; granddaughters Sophia Billups of Longwood, FL; and Lainey Deel of Lake Mary, FL.

David was an exceptional musician and a drummer for over 60 years. He loved playing in his bands Night Shift and Cool Change throughout central Florida. He loved to fish, camp and taking trips to the Satilla River in south Georgia. He was always the life of the party and always ready for a quick joke. He was generous to all that knew him. He was also a huge FSU fan.
