David J. L. Carter, passed away quietly on Monday, 4/8/22 at Hospice in Edgewater, Fl. David was born in Wellington, N.Z., and traveled to Lakeland, FL, as a young man, to attend Southeastern University in Lakeland. There he obtained his degree in Theology and Music. The majority of his life was spent in the Public Relations, Advertising and Hospitality Industry. In 1996, he married Joanie, and together they formed a professional Pet Sitting Business, Joanie's Purrfectcare, in the NSB and Edgewater area. He is survived by his loving wife, Joan; a daughter, Cherie LeGer; grandson, Austin LeGer, who reside in Hudson, FL; Sister, Diane Louise Grant of Papamoa, N.Z., ; Sister, Ruth Carter Ward, Highland Village, Tx.; Brother, John Stephen Carter, of Jakarta, Indonesia; along with multiple nephews and nieces and grandnieces and grandnephews on both sides of the family. Services will be held May 7, 2022 1:pm at South Daytona Christian Church 2121 Kenilworth Ave. South Daytona, FL 32119.
