Obituary

David was so many great things in life. He was a husband, a father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, and veteran.

He worked for Grumman Aerospace, he was a Flagler County Councilman, he was a firefighter, EMT, head of security at a large college, President of two bike clubs, and a Patriot Guard Rider, and friend to so many.

He went by many names, depending on the Circle he hung in, most people knew him as Popa D Dave, or brother, some knew him as the beeper keeper, others knew him as Captain Dave or Councilman Dattoli, and a few knew him as Might Mouse.  He rode the largest bike, drove a big Hummer, and was larger than life.

He helped countless people in big ways, and some in very little ways, but was always helping. He was a PTSD Counselor, and was a good citizen, and a patriot, and writer. Popa spoke his mind, and always said, "I'm just me".

The greater good of others was always his fore thought, he served his country with pride and honor. He's a hero on many levels. In the United States Air Force, he was young kid. He fought cancer three times and beat it. He was always a fighter and champion to so many.

He was the first honored hero at the Heroes Honor Festival with the position to light the POW MIA candle in front of approximately 50,000 people, laid wreaths at ceremonies, erected flags at the National Cemetery. He helped homeless veterans, and was a great man who has touched thousands of people's lives. He is a true American patriot, a hero, a loved husband, father, grandfather, friend, and a good citizen.

You will be missed Popa. Your legacy will live on forever.
