The Reverend David Emerson Dietzel was born July 24, 1935, in Aurora, Illinois. The family lived in Columbus and Cleveland Heights, Ohio where his father served as pastor in both locations. Dave graduated from Cleveland Heights HS and Otterbein College.

Dave graduated from Evangelical Theological Seminary in Naperville, ILL, and then received a Master's Degree from McCormick Seminary in Chicago, ILL. He served churches in Ohio, PA., N.J., and FL and retired from Covenant Presbyterian Church in Ft. Myers as Pastor Emeritus.

He is survived by his wife, Marlene Remy Dietzel of 63 years; sons Michael (Jennifer) of Kentucky, Dr. Douglas and grandson Parker, & (Kerry Miller) of Michigan as well as nieces and nephews in Ohio, CA., and Az.

Memorials can be made to the church of your choice or to Hope Hospice Health Care. Service is at Covenant Presbyterian Church Tuesday June 28, 11:00 am.
