David Joseph Gillespie of Ponce Inlet, passed away on February 10th at the age of 62 in the Halifax Hospice Care Center after a lengthy illness. Born in Paisley, Scotland his sense of adventure took him to Melbourne, Australia and Greensboro, North Carolina, before settling in Florida. David was a mechanical engineer by trade and an international businessman for many years. His love of friends and fun inspired him to become involved with Murphy's Arms Pub in Orlando where he made many lasting friendships. David had a quick wit and charismatic personality and enjoyed a round of golf, a day at the beach, a night at the pub, a spontaneous trip, and a football game equally. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Louise, Paulene and Alison, their mother Ann, his grandaughters Courtney and Leeanna, his sisters Kathleen and Jan, brother Gerry and a host of extended family and friends.
