David Howard Holland, of Port Orange, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2026, after a long illness. He formerly lived in Mansfield, MA, and New Smyrna Beach., FL. He was a devoted father, proud pops, beloved brother, loyal friend, and a man whose kindness, generosity, and love of life touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. His legacy is one of generosity, family, friendship, and a life lived with joy.
David is survived by his loving daughter, Allison Clark (Seth) his son, Kevin Holland (Christine), four cherished grandchildren; his siblings, Denise Higgins (Ed), Dennis Holland and Daniel Holland and his nephews; Brian Higgins and Matthew Higgins. His greatest joy was his family, and he took immense pride in creating memories that would last a lifetime.
David had a gift for bringing people together. Whether tending the grill during a backyard barbecue, watching a NASCAR race, spending a quiet day fishing, or hosting memorable holiday celebrations for family and neighbors, he made everyone feel welcome. His home was a place of laughter, good food, and lasting friendships. He believed that life's best moments were those shared with the people you love.
Professionally, David served as a Plant Manager for Boston Whaler, where he helped lead facility expansions. Earlier in his career, he worked alongside his father Sam—who was also his best friend—in the family's paint and body repair business.
Those who knew David will remember his generous heart, easy smile, quick sense of humor, and unwavering willingness to lend a helping hand. He found happiness in simple pleasures, treasured time with family and friends, and lived with a spirit that made every gathering a celebration.
A private family burial will be held at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens in Edgewater, Florida.
Family and friends are warmly invited to celebrate David's life on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., hosted by his son, Kevin, at 3807 Rambling Acres Drive, Titusville, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in David’s honor to a charity or cause that is meaningful to you.
