David James Jacobson, 80, of Port Orange, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family. 

Born on May 19, 1946, in Cloquet, MN, Dave was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He shared 59 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Linda Jacobson. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, and countless memories. 

Dave or “Jake” as his army buddies called him, proudly served his country for 21 years in the United States Army. His dedication, strength, and commitment to his country were an important part of who he was. 

Above all else, Dave cherished his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; his daughters, Blair Woodrow of Edgewater, FL, and her husband, Matt; Shannon Sabree of Avon, MA, and her husband, Malik; and Kristin Page of Oxford, PA; and his amazing grandchildren, DJ, Faith, Jaeden, Amilah, Kinsley, Ayla and Dylan.

Dave was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Sixta of Pennock, Minnesota and his grandson, Devon Page of Oxford, Pennsylvania. 

Dave’s greatest legacy will be the love he gave his family and the memories he leaves behind. His family will forever remember him for his fierce love, quick wit, bold spirit and the laughter he brought into their lives. He will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. His family will carry his love, his lessons and his memory with them always.

Rest peacefully, Dad. Your work here is done. You were loved more than words can say, and you will never be forgotten.
