David
Minnehan
October 15, 1935 – December 2, 2018
David W. "Bill" Minnehan went to heaven on December 2, 2018, at the blessed age of 83. Bill was born October 15, 1935, in Melbourne, FL. He was raised and educated in in Delray Beach, FL.
Bill's passion was his service to his country. Bill joined the Navy in 1954 and retired in 1974. Bill loved being a submariner. If you are familiar with the term "Mustang" from the Navy then you know he went through the ranks and retired as an officer. That determination and leadership followed him through the rest of his life. Bill remained in south Florida after retiring from the Navy and became the dock master at the Boca Raton Hotel and Club. His next successful venture was a property management company in Boca Raton, Florida. Bill enjoyed the game of golf and was raised in a golfing family so moving to The Villages in 2002 was a very natural transition, and needless to say; he was able to play golf to his hearts content. Bill was also an active member of Calvary Chapel of Leesburg.
Bill is survived by his wife, Patricia Minnehan of The Villages; daughter Melissa Meiser of Port St. John, FL; daughter Michele Hanley of Deerfield, FL; brother Tom of Tequesta, FL; and brother Michael of Deland, FL. Bill is also survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at Eisenhower Regional Recreation Center on December 14, 2018, at 5:00 PM. Dress is casual "colorful". The family is requesting any remembrances can be made to Cornerstone Hospice.
