Dave Hunt Rooney, 76, of New Smyrna Beach, passed away Wednesday, August 30th peacefully at home with family by his side.

Dave was born October 12, 1946 in Providence, RI. He is preceded in death by his parents Ed and Barbara Rooney.

He is survived by his loving wife Susan of 39 years, son David and Toni Rooney, grandchildren David and Madi Rooney, Joycelyn and Michael Surdis and great grandchild Jackson Surdis. He is also survived by many sister's and brother in laws and nieces and nephews.

Dave was passionate, caring, and loving to all he met, always putting his family first. He was a long time NASCAR and Dolphin fan. He had many lifelong friends and will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, September 4, 2023 from 12:00 – 2:00 pm at Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society, 1 N Causeway, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32169.
