David W. Schell, originally from Syracuse, New York passed away in Mt. Dora, Florida at the age of 85 with his loving wife by his side.

Born on April 4, 1940 to Warren and Doris (Reidman) Schell who preceded him in death.

David was a graduate of North High School and Morrisville College. He worked as a Civil Engineer having retired from New York State Department of Transportation and Camp, Dresser and McKee. He supervised the construction of several bridges and highways both in New York and Florida over his career of 50 plus years. He was a licensed pilot and delighted in taking friends and family on many memorable trips in his plane.

As a youth he was very active in Boy Scouting and went on to serve as a Boy Scout leader in Lyncourt and Cold Springs, New York along with Tavares, Florida.

David was also preceded in death by his loving sister and two brothers.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years Barbara (Boutin) Schell, sons Jerry Brady of Central Square, New York and Jacob (Dorothy) Galvan of Baldwinsville, New York. Granddaughters Katie (Sean) Benedict and Breezy (Brianna) Galvan. Great grandsons Hogan and Kiernan Benedict. Brother Michale (Debbie) Schell along with several nieces and nephews with whom he had an everlasting bond and a special "daughter" Brenda Allport of Fredericksburg, Virginia.

A Celebration of Life is being held in New York.
