David Chamberlain Sias passed away on October 29, 2022 at home in Gallatin, TN at the age of 78. He was born on November 4, 1943 in Orlando, FL to Richard Alan Sias and Phyllis Chamberlain Sias. He was married to Patricia Ann Loscavo on March 13, 1971 in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA They had two children, John and Jennifer. David attended Winter Park High School in Florida, and El Camino College in California. After high school he served four years in the United States Air Force where he taught Electronics; and was also a technician in the space and missile division at Vandenberg AFB, CA. He worked at Hughes Aircraft in El Segundo, CA as a spacecraft technician for a few years before beginning his career with the Los Angeles County Fire Department in November, 1969. David retired after 32 years of service to the department. David enjoyed boating, water skiing, snow skiing, and traveling with family. He was an avid sports fan, and especially loved the Los Angeles Dodgers. He was involved in Little League and Softball as a coach, and Boy Scouts of America for several years. After residing in California for thirty-nine years, David and Patty relocated to Gallatin, TN to be close to their daughter and family. David will lovingly be remembered by his wife, soul mate, and best friend of 51 years, Patty, daughter Jennifer Sias Dawson (Jason), grandchildren Jackson, Gavin, Zoe Dawson, sister Jean Sias (Darryl Korn), brother John Richard Sias (Jeannie), and many adored nieces, nephews, and friends. David was predeceased by son John David Sias, father Richard Alan Sias, mother Phyllis Chamberlain Sias, sister Barbara (Bobbie) Sias Shaheen. A celebration of life service will be held on January 13, 2023 at 10:30am at Knowles Chapel (Rollins College) 1000 Holt Avenue, Winter Park, FL. Internment will follow at Palm Cemetary in Winter Park. A memorial reception will be held at The Alfond Inn, 300 East England Avenue, Winter Park. Memorial donations in David's name may be made to firefightercancersupport.org.
