David Anthony Wheeler, 85, of Palm Harbor, FL, passed away January 13, 2026. He was born in Detroit, MI on May 29, 1940, and was a graduate of Lamphere High School. He moved to Florida in September 2020 from Sterling Heights, MI. David was Catholic in faith. He was also the owner of a vending machine company known as American Vending, and his favorite activities included playing shuffleboard, golfing, and spending time at his cottage in Lexington, MI. David is preceded in death by his loving wife, Diane Wheeler. He is survived by his daughter, Shelly Ridgley of Palm Harbor, FL and her fiance, Mark Moorhead; his sons, William Wheeler of Sterling Heights, MI and Christopher Wheeler of Palm Harbor, FL and his wife, Dawn; his brother, Gary Wheeler of Madison Heights, MI and his wife, Tammy; and his sister, Karen Sallen of Sunny Isles Beach, FL and her husband, Michael. A service is being planned and will be held in Michigan later this year, in the summer of 2026.
