IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dean Joseph
Boturla
August 9, 1961 – February 9, 2026
Memorial Service
Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society Heritage Place Chapel, Wildwood, Florida
2:00 - 4:00 pm (Eastern time)
Dean Boturla 64, of the Villages, Florida passed away suddenly Monday, February 9, 2026. Dean grew up in Hazlet, NJ and remained in contact with many of his childhood friends. Those who knew him would describe him as a fun-loving, caring and dedicated friend. While residing in NJ, Dean was a parishioner of St. Benedicts catholic church in Holmdel. He dedicated himself to helping others by participating in food drives, meals on wheels and helping in area soup kitchens.
Dean is predeceased by his parents John and Constance Boturla of Hazlet, NJ, his brother Kevin Boturla of Hazlet, NJ and just a few months ago, his brother and best friend David Boturla of the Villages. We have comfort in knowing they are all together.
He is survived by his brother John Boturla and his sisters Gail Boturla and her fiancé Peter, Dawn Boturla, Dana Amundarain and her husband Rafael, and sister-in-law Jill Grossguth. He is also survived by his God son Ryan Carroll and wife Dana, in addition to many nephews and nieces that he loved dearly.
Dean worked for Pathmark Supermarkets and later Epcor Foundries.
Dean moved to Florida in 2022 and became a parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul catholic church where he attended with his brothers.
He shared his love of the band the Grateful Dead with his brother David attending many concerts together over the years. Dean supported David in creating the club the Village Deadheads, a group of like-minded people who enjoy the music. Dean attended club meetings, as well as social and charitable activities.
If you could describe Dean’s life in a single song verse, the following from the Grateful Dead would be most appropriate, “One good ride from start to end. I'd like to take that ride again."
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society, 3990 East State Road 44, Suite 105, Wildwood, Florida 34785.
