With a heavy heart, Ruey Badgley Pethick announces the passing of her beloved husband, Dean Lee Pethick of New Smyrna Beach, Florida and formally of Schoharie, New York. Dean departed this life on November 20, 2016.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years,  Ruey, their children Tracey Nash (Daniel), Allison Wingle (Nicholas), and their three grandchildren, Arden Cunniff, Nicholas and Chase Wingle.

He was an avid member of the Volusia County Gun and Hunt Club and the New Smyrna Municipal Golf Club.  He was a Navy veteran serving on the USS Saratoga.

Services will be held at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery on December 2, 2016 at 2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the USO in Dean's name.
